I just answered a reader’s question about whether she should spend more on the food or drinks at her wedding. I gave a bunch of suggestions — but I’m curious whether you agree with my advice! Most weddings have a band or a DJ, but some have other things — like the silhouette artists that I wrote about the other day! Others have photobooths or cigar bars. But there are a ton of options! Tell us what you’re having and then drop us a line to tell us more!
The other day, I wrote a blog post about the top centerpieces that couples use for the wedding tables. There’s also a slew of creative centerpieces that aren’t as common but that people like…. So with all these options, what kind of centerpiece do you like the best?
I was recently invited to a co-ed bachelor/bachelorette party… which I thought was a little weird. (I think the whole concept of these parties is weird, so this just kind of doubled the weirdness!) But I was wondering – what do you think?? Tell me why in the comments below!
I know a lot of people who struggle with whether they should invite their boss and/or their coworkers to their wedding. One person recently told me that they invited her boss because they knew he wouldn’t come but he’d give a really expensive gift. (I know, I thought that was a little shallow….) Regardless, it can be an awkward situation to have your boss and coworkers there — but it can be more awkward to report back to them how the wedding was. So…

I am heading to a wedding this afternoon and it’s actually not too far from where I grew up. But when the bride (who I’ve known forever) was contemplating her wedding, she gave serious consideration to having a destination wedding. I showed her a little bit about how to get married abroad — and she changed her tune and decided on a local wedding.
So…. Do you like destination weddings? Will you have one? Did you have one?

In light of the struggling economy, many couples are getting rid of some of the traditions and trends in wedding planning. There are some things that people give up more readily than others — for example, I’m guessing the bride would rather give up favors than a wedding dress! So, with that in mind, what have you (or will you) give up in your wedding planning process? Why?
Regardless of what you give up (especially if it’s a formal photographer!), make sure you get all the photos from your guests, so that you can see the pictures from your big day! Save money by using an online photo album.
